The barbershop isn’t just where you get a cut. It's one of the cornerstones of our culture. The barbershop is where Black men talk life, level up, and leave looking like royalty. Although it can be a social club of sorts, the barbershop is a sacred space — and, just like any sacred space, there are rules.
Respect the craft
Don’t rush your barber. Great cuts take time.
Trust your barber's process — if you picked them, let them do what they do.
Don’t be late — and be real about it when you are
Respect appointment times. If you’re running behind, say something.
Walk-ins are cool, but don’t get salty if appointments get seen first.
Remember the chair is sacred
Don’t sit in the barber’s chair unless invited. Period.
No spinning. No leaning. It’s not a carnival ride.
Tip like you appreciate greatness
If you love the cut, say it with your wallet.
Especially if your barber squeezed you in or came through in a crunch.
Keep barbershop conversations private
What’s said in the shop is for the shop.
Venting, joking, debating — it's a safe zone, not social media content.
Don't be the loudest one in the room
Phones on vibrate. No FaceTime in the chair.
This ain’t a podcast. Respect the vibe.
Let the YN's learn
OG's, speak life. Young men, listen more than you talk.
The shop is where game gets passed down.
The barbershop is a brotherhood
When you move with respect, the cut hits different. So, the next time you pull up to DreBladez, don’t just bring your head — bring your best self.
